New! Waiting Room feature for Stage 1 of RES Exam

Are you still intending to take your RES examination in 2024? Here are some useful updates for you!

FormSG has introduced a new waiting room feature to ensure that large spikes in traffic to the form will not overload the system.

How it works:

All applicants accessing FormSG will first be directed to a waiting room. The estimated wait time will be displayed, and would generally not exceed one minute. There will not be any queue number.

Applicants will be brought to the form submission page based on the order/ time in which they first click on the FormSG link and enter the waiting room. Once an applicant is brought to the form submission page, the applicant can proceed to fill it up and click on the ‘Submit’ button to register his/ her interest for the RES examination.

There will be no change to how examination seats will be allocated. Seats will still be allocated on a first-come; first-served basis, based on the time in which the form is successfully submitted.

RES Exam Schedule

The 20-21 July 2024 RES examination will have a capacity of 3,000 seats.

There will be a two-stage registration process for the July 2024 RES examination. To ensure a smooth registration experience for applicants, NTUC LearningHub is implementing a two-stage registration process for you to:

  1. Indicate your interest (on FormSG), and subsequently

  2. Register for the examination at NTUC LearningHub's website if you are shortlisted.

Stage 1: Indication of interest on FormSG (11 June 2024)

Applicants with a valid RES course completion certificate and have completed their RES course by 10 June 2024 are eligible to indicate their interest to sit for the 20-21 July 2024 RES examination on FormSG on 11 June 2024 from 9am to 12 noon.

Please read the instructions on the Form carefully and make only one submission. Applicants who submit more than one Form or make an erroneous submission will be disqualified. No appeals will be entertained.

The FormSG link to indicate your interest and choice of the examination type can be found below.

NTUC LearningHub expects high web traffic on LHUB’s and CEA’s websites during Stage 1. To avoid any delay in submitting your indication of interest, download the infographics onto your device in advance to access the FormSG link directly to register your interest. Applicants must not disable cookies on their browser, or they will not be able to fill up the form.

Please note that the FormSG link will only be activated from 9am to 12 noon on 11 June 2024.

Eligible applicants who successfully submit their indication of interest based on their choice of the examination type will be shortlisted on a first-come, first-served basis, i.e. based on their form submission timestamp.

LHUB will contact the shortlisted applicants by 19 June 2024 and provide further instructions on Stage 2 of examination registration at the LHUB website.

Shortlisted applicants shall complete the registration and payment on LHUB’s website from 20 to 23 June 2024.

Applicants who are not shortlisted may be placed on the waitlist and will be informed accordingly.

All applicants on waitlist will be informed by email if they are successful or unsuccessful by 26 June 2024.

Stage 2: Examination registration on LHUB’s website

Shortlisted applicants will receive an email from LHUB to complete their registration and payment on LHUB’s website in order to secure their examination seats. Shortlisted applicants who do not complete the examination registration process by the deadline stated by LHUB will have their seats allocated to those on the waitlist.
